Shawn Jones, a Veteran retired from the US Army as a Sergeant First Class after starting his career in the Air Force. He earned a social work degree while serving in the Army and was completing his Masters of Social Work while transitioning from Military to Civilian life. He accepted a position of director of Stop Soldier Suicide, a national 501(c)3, shortly after retiring. Shawn currently works as a military and family life counselor as well as providing briefings and presentations on resilience at Fort Bragg. We talk to Shawn in the aftermath of the scathing report on Fort Hood, and the disciplinary action taken against fourteen of their leadership.
